About Gretchen Gregg

RYT 200, AFAA group exercise, ACE personal trainer

What does yoga mean to you / how did you come to find yoga? Yoga has been a part of my life for a long time. My mom taught me how to “play” yoga to help me calm down and focus as a young child. I have continued a yoga practice to keep my stress levels manageable, my body strong and flexible, my mind open and my heart happy!

What made you become a teacher? I wanted to share the benefits of yoga with as many people as possible! From athletes to individuals with limited mobility, from prenatal and postpartum clients to cocktail-infused participants at beach resorts, teaching yoga has allowed me to impact the lives of many individuals.

Why do you love the concept of Yoga&Hops? COMMUNITY!!! So many times we roll out our mats and keep to ourselves before, during and after a yoga class. Yoga&hops encourages interaction! I always meet someone new and interesting at every class.

What can people expect if they take your class? I like to offer unique transitions between poses so participants can experience something new! Fun music, partner poses and a stress-relieving Savasana are all important parts of my class.

What’s your favorite beer? Anything with a cool name! I’m also a sucker for a good label. 😉

Beyond the Brewery: I teach physical activity and health science at Texas A&M University and love to spend time with my family cooking and having spontaneous dance parties. My biggest achievement is my awesome daughter Alice!
